Larry Carr has been involved in fine printmaking for over 20 years. "For years I was a darkroom technician printing Black and White photography for others and then I really got into color printing". He began his first forays into digital printing 15 years ago when he offered his printing services to photographers. "What was really great about digital was the control that I had over an Image. I could fine tune it until the desired results were obtained and then print one print or a hundred prints and they would all look exactly the same, unlike manipulating the image in the darkroom which was time consuming and very difficult to obtain the same results every time." I knew then that digital printing was the way for me.

I bought my first large format inkjet printer 13 years ago and began testing. Unfortunatly the quality and the permanance of the ink was not yet ready for printing fine art or photography. It wasn't until 5 years ago that the inks were available in a pigment base instead of a dye base for the inkjet printers. This changed the archival quality to 100 years plus and with the new printheads it was now time to switch to the large format printers. After 3 intense years of testing and perfecting the digital process I felt real confident that we could give our clients the best quality printing of photographs or of artwork.

With all of the advances in technology many so called fine art printmakers have begun to spring up offering "Giclee" printing. But even the best equipment does not gurantee a great reproduction. " I spent years learning to print color in the darkroom, learning to "see" color and understanding how to manipulate it to achieve the desired results I was after". The ability to "see" color properly is the key to being able to make accurate reproductions.

I offer my printing services to photographers and artists (pastels, acrylics, oils, watercolor, pen & ink etc...) who require quality printing or reproduction services. I work one on one with my clients to ensure they receive the utmost attention to their work.
